Kyle McLean is a Brisbane based arts practitioner with a diverse background in circus, dance, music and new media. Past projects have included theatrical soundtrack production, interactive multimedia installations, several regional workshop tours (supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund) and contemporary fire shows for a plethora of clients from community festivals to companies such as Citibank and Amway China.

Within the fire twirling community, Kyle is regarded by his peers internationally as being on the cutting edge of contemporary fire dance and performance. He has facilitated workshops in youth spaces around Australia and joined an international team of teachers at uberevents creating twirling master classes. In 2005 and 2006 he worked as Creative Director at Common Ground, Australia’s first twirling and lifestyle festival. He has appeared on several DVD’s including the Yoho Skill Toy Staff Instructional, and the Sphercular Vision dvd.

Kyle is currently working on projects in Germany, but intends to flee back to Australia before it gets too cold.
