We were asked to create a pop up experience for BIGSOUND 2013’s Music + Design exhibition. We took advantage of this blank slate creative project to produce our first VR experience, a virtual reality DJ setup using an Oculus Rift development kit and a real world Midi controller piped in to VR land via webcam. Was a really interesting experience to develop for VR and I think it’s safe to say we are hooked. The video includes some user commentary, as VR is a bit hard to ‘get’ from a web video.
Software used was Live, Max for Live & VVVV

Everyone is Happy was commissioned by Phoenix Creative GmbH to produce stage projections for their new production “Destellos”. The show premiered at Feria de Leon 2013 and had an outstanding 75 show season.
We worked with Phoenix to integrate the multimedia design with their impressive array of performance technology, including programmable LED props, lights and lasers.
The UN DPI NGO conference was held in Melbourne at the end of August and was the largest UN event ever held in Australia. The conference focused on advancing global health, and was attended by more than 300 non-government organisations from 70 countries.
We had the pleasure of conceiving & producing the opening video for the conference, a made-for-projection piece that was played in full HD on a 10m screen. The theme was “in Melbourne, we are connected” and the Millennium Development Goals.
Ozri 2011, the Asia-Pacific’s leading spatial industry conference, was held from 12-14 October in Melbourne, Australia- and drew its biggest crowd in its 25 year history.
We were commissioned by Haycom AV to produce this 3240×1080 video and other event assets, which they projected onto three massive 15 metre x 5 metre screens using six-edge blended Christie projectors. The brief was to ‘chart the progression of maps throughout the ages whilst referencing the event and it’s unique direction.’ ESRI were thrilled with the results.
We developed a very fast and flexible projection mapping system which we were asked to present at Pecha Kucha Brisbane. This was part of that demonstration, however the same setup can very rapidly map out all sorts of shapes.
We’ve since moved on to 3D, but this still gets used quite a bit too due to it’s flexibility.
